SMALL BUSINESS ADMIN. DISASTER ASSISTANCE

Wisconsin  businesses and residents affected by the heavy rains and flash flooding on July 19-23, 2017, can apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.  The center for Trempealeau County is located at the Centerville Community Center and Curling Club, W24854 State Road 54/93, Galesville, WI 54630 (Centerville).  Hours are as follows:

SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2017 – NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

Please take notice that the Town Board of the Town of Trempealeau will be together for the purpose of:

  1. Meeting with Amy Lesik, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Management Specialist to view and discuss Tamarack Creek located behind the residences on Todd Road affected by the July flood;
  2. Consider a donation to Trempealeau Youth Sports Club for the construction of dugouts on the T-Ball field.

The Town Board will then move into closed session to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) to discuss job performance;

and

pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(g) for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel who is providing advice concerning strategy to be adopted with regard to potential and threatened litigation related to the Town of Trempealeau’s Scare Gun Ban Ordinance (2017-001).

Said meeting will take place at the Town of Trempealeau Town Hall, W24854 State Road 54/93, Centerville, WI. No other business will be transacted.

STCSWC RECYCLING 2017 FALL EVENT SCHEDULE

October 7 – Fall Clean-Up  STCSWC Residents Only.  All items half price except bags.  4 free car tires per household.

October 14 – County Wide HHW Clean Sweep.  Oil based paints, household cleaners, fertilizers, etc.  Accepting 100 lbs. HHW per household free of charge.

October 28 – County Wide E-Waste Collection (Electronics) Televisions, Computers. All E-waste half price (10 cents a pound)

All events will be held during regular Saturday hours 8:00 a.m to Noon.
