CLERK/TREASURER – TOWN OF TREMPEALEAU
The Town of Trempealeau is seeking candidates to fill the full-time position of Clerk/Treasurer. The Clerk/Treasurer acts as liaison between the Town Board, Employees and the General Public.
Responsibilities include accounts receivable/accounts payable, property tax collection, bank deposits and reconciliations, licensing, preparation of payroll and filing of applicable payroll taxes, cash handling, budgeting, audit preparation, meeting agenda, packet management and minute taking, website management, facility rentals, processing special assessment requests, customer service, election administration, gathering information and summarizing to provide to Town Board and General Public, and numerous other duties.
The successful candidate must have a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Quick Books. Election and Municipal experience preferred. Candidate should be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, cool under pressure, able to maintain confidentiality, possess excellent organizational skills to include prioritization of duties and effective time management, and the ability to multi-task. Candidate must possess a high level of integrity, problem solving skills and an excellent commitment to public service.

Starting wage is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidate must be bondable.
