Tax bills are sent out by December 20th of each year.
PAYMENT BY MAIL - On or before January 31st of each year all or the first half of your taxes may be mailed and made payable to: Town of Trempealeau, W24854 State Road 54/93, Galesville, WI 54630. To receive proper credit, all payments by mail must be postmarked no later than January 31.
PAYMENT IN PERSON - Payments may be made in person at the Clerk/Treasurer's office, W24854 State Road 54/93, (Centerville) Galesville, WI between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
If making payment in TWO INSTALLMENTS the second half of your taxes are due on or before July 31st. THIS PAYMENT MUST GO DIRECTLY TO THE TREMPEALEAU COUNTY TREASURER, P.O. BOX 67, WHITEHALL, WI 54773. NO JULY PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED AT THE TOWN OFFICE.
To receive a receipt, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with your payment.
The postmark date on mailed payments is accepted.
Copies of tax bills may be obtained from the town clerk/treasurer.
Notify the town clerk/treasurer of any change in address.
Record a deed with the Trempealeau County Register of Deeds.
