As the weather starts getting nicer, we know many of you will be cleaning up yards, trimming trees, and burning brush.
Just a few friendly reminders to help keep everyone safe:
•Any brush pile larger than 10’ x 10’ x 10’ requires a burn permit.
•Burn permits can be obtained at (also linked below)
•Before you start your burn, please call Trempealeau County Non-Emergent at 715-538-4351 to let them know you have the required permit and are starting the burn.
•When you are done with your burn, please call Trempealeau County Non-Emergent back to let them know the burn is completed.
These steps help prevent unnecessary emergency responses and ensure burns are conducted safely and legally.
As always, never leave a fire unattended, keep water or a hose nearby, and be mindful of wind conditions.
